Mr. Israel Mawuli Agbo (Financial Accountant)

Mr. Israel Mawuli Agbo is a Chartered Accountant by profession –CA (Gh) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. He holds an Executive MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School. He also holds a certificate in Research Project and Grant Management from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

Mr. Agbo has ten years post qualification experience in Accounting, budgeting, grants /research projects management. He has worked in the University of Ghana for seventeen (17) years.

He joined the University of Ghana in 1999 as Accounting Assistant in the Finance Directorate. Mr. Agbo was assigned to the University of Ghana Treasury (Cash Office) and later to the Budget Section.  He rose through the ranks to the grade of Chief Accounting Assistant. In 2008, he was promoted to the rank of an Accountant and assigned to the School of Public Health, College of Health Sciences, as the Head of Accounts Unit. He also acted for a short period as the Accountant of the School of Medicine and Dentistry, College of Health Sciences.

He is currently the Financial Accountant at the College of Health Sciences responsible for financial reporting, treasury management, accounts payable and receivables, assets management and students accounts.

He has attended several seminars, workshops, Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programmes in financial management, accounting, budgeting, project management, stress management and many others.

Mr. Agbo wishes to see a sound financial management that ensures integrity in the financial system at the College of Health Sciences, in particular and the University of Ghana as a whole.
