Mr. SAMUEL NKRUMAH (Ag.College Finance Officer)

Mr. Samuel Nkrumah is a highly skilled and well-trained Accountant, with extensive experience of working within the higher education sector. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School. He is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with membership with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.

He started his career with Cooper and Lybrand (now PriceWaterHouseCoopers). He went on to work with a number of leading organisations such as Nyaho Medical Centre, Market Force Limited and Rhema Systems and Associates Limited. Samuel has shown a keen interest in academia and had taught Accountancy courses at leading accountancy training centres like the Centre for Business Studies (CBS), the Financial and Management Training Centre (FMTC) and the then Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) all in Accra.

Mr. Nkrumah has since February, 2006 worked with the University of Ghana, Legon where he has consistently delivered excellent service to a number of departments within the Finance Directorate of the University of Ghana. He served as an Accountant for the University of Ghana Business School for over five years before being assigned to the University Cash Office, and then to the Central Accounts, Finance Directorate where he served from 2011 to 2017 before his transfer to the College of Health Sciences as the Acting College Finance Officer.

His expertise covers the implementation of the Accounting Systems Software in various institutions, Preparation of Final Accounts for educational institutions and corporate organisations; Accounts Receivable Managements, Reconciliation of Cash Modules and General Ledger Accounts, Cash Management, Performance Monitoring, Investment Management and many more accountancy functions.
