Ms Empi Baryeh

 

Empi is an Assistant Registrar at the Academic Affairs Unit of the College of Health Sciences in charge of Teaching and Examination.

Before joining the College of Health Sciences, she was in charge of the capacity building unit at the Office of Research, Innovation and Development (ORID) of the University of Ghana from April 2011 until January 2018. Her schedule involved research and grant administration of both internally and externally funded projects. During her tenure at ORID she administered the UG-funded Faculty Development Grant for PhD Research and Conference Grants. She also managed a portfolio of donor-funded capacity building programmes and has experience managing grants for donors such as European Union (EU), Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Danida), World Health Organisation (WHO), and Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from University of Botswana and an MBA from Clark University in Massachusetts, USA.

Before joining UG in January 2011, she worked in advertising and public relations with some of the top agencies in Ghana, handling brands for multi-national companies including: Emirates Airline, Nestlé (Central and West Africa), Stanbic Bank, Western Union and Zenith Bank.
