ANNOUNCES ADMISSIONS INTO THE 3-MONTHS SPORTS MASSEURS TRAINING PROGRAMME
The Department of Physiotherapy, School of Biomedical and Allied Health Sciences, University of Ghana is inviting applications from qualified applicants for admissions into the sports masseurs training programme.
Senior high school Certificate (Aggregate 24 or better)
The aim of this programme is to provide adequate theoretical and practical knowledge for Sports Masseurs.
1. To enable Trainees, appreciate the role of Sports Masseurs in a Sports Medical Team.
2. Provide Trainees with basic skill to recognize and manage Sports-related injuries.
3. Provide Trainees with basic knowledge for sports related injury prevention.
4. To empower trainees in the promotion of health and wellness amongst athletes.
NATURE AND DURATION OF PROGRAMME
It is a three (3) months certificate of participation programme for Sports Masseurs with a minimum fee of two thousand (2000) Ghana cedis. A Trainee will graduate if he or she completes all assignments, participates in all courses and practical and obtains passes in all courses.
There are two intakes per year: March and September.
February 21 for March intake
August 21 for September intake
