In a heartwarming and visionary move, the Dean of the University of Ghana Medical School has launched a new initiative, "Dean's Bring and Share," aimed at fostering unity, dialogue, and community engagement among students, faculty, and staff. This initiative aligns strongly with the University of Ghana's Strategic Priorities 1 (Transformative Student Experience) and 3 (Commitment to our faculty and staff). Held on
A Platform for Connection and Expression The "Bring and Share" concept is simple yet impactful, everyone contributes something, be it food, ideas, music, or simply their presence. More importantly, it serves as a platform for open conversations on pressing issues, shared laughter, and building a stronger, more inclusive academic community.

"This is exactly the kind of initiative we need to bridge gaps and build relationships in our school. It was refreshing to see faculty, students, and staff connect on a personal level. "As Provost, I am proud to witness such a proactive effort in building community and wellbeing. This is the spirit of the University of Ghana." Provost, College of Health Sciences
Participants expressed deep appreciation for the initiative, noting how rare and valuable such moments of informal interaction and community bonding are in a rigorous academic environment. The Dean's Bring and Share initiative is more than an event, it is a movement toward a more connected, compassionate, and collaborative UGMS.
Looking Ahead
The success of the maiden edition has set a solid foundation for what promises to be a recurring event on the UGMS calendar.
