Mr. Augustine Amissare’s career in the University started in November, 2010 in the then School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) when he was appointed as a Senior Administrative Assistant. He was promoted to the grade of Principal Administrative Assistant in December 2011.
In January 2012, he was appointed an Assistant Registrar in the Registrar’s Office and assigned to the College of Health Sciences. He is in charge of Public Affairs in the College of Health Sciences.
Mr. Amissare holds an M.Phil in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Education, Winneba (2007-2009). In May, 2004 he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in English and Linguistics degree by the University of Ghana, Legon. He is an Accredited Public Relations Practitioner (APR) and a member of the Institute of Public Relations Ghana.
Prior to Mr Amissare’s appointment, he worked as Corporate Communications Manager at Elite Kingdom Investments and Consulting Limited. He also taught in several institutions including African University College of Communications (AUCC) and Sikkim Manipal University, Ghana Learning Centre.
Mr Amissare’s vision is to see a College of Health Sciences Public Affairs Unit that is able to plan, organise and manage programmes which will enhance the flow of communication between the College and its publics.
