Reverend Professor Patrick Ferdinand K. Ayeh-Kumi is an Associate Professor, a Medical Parasitologist/Microbiologist and a graduate of the University of Ghana.

He is currently the Provost of the College of Health Sciences.  He was the foundation Dean of the School of Biomedical and Allied Health Sciences of the University of Ghana and the second Dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences in the same University. Prior to his deanship appointment, he served as Head of the Department of Microbiology of the University of Ghana Medical School, and also as Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences of the School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Ghana.

He was the first to be awarded a PhD degree in Microbiology by the University of Ghana and was one of the three pioneering students who were enrolled for the masters programme in Applied Parasitology at the Department of Zoology; now the Department of Animal Biology and Conservation Sciences. He holds three degrees from the University of Ghana, Legon a PhD in Microbiology, an M.Phil in Zoology (Applied Parasitology Option) and a BSc degree in Zoology with Botany (2nd Class Upper Division).

Rev. Prof. Ayeh-Kumi is a passionate university teacher, mentor and researcher with over nineteen (19) years of teaching experience at the university level. He has supervised over 90 students and mentored over 20 faculty members in Parasitology and Microbiology, some of whom are senior members in various universities locally and internationally. Rev. Prof. Patrick F. K. Ayeh-Kumi has extensive research experience in parasitic infections of public health importance (Malaria, Schistosomiasis, Amoebiasis and Leshimaniaisis), Molecular Epidemiology of Parasitic Infections and Microbiological Quality of Food and Water.

Rev. Prof. Ayeh-Kumi serves as a member of  a number local and international Boards and Committees.  He is also a reviewer of a number journals such as, “The American Scoiety of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene“, “Ghana Medical Journal“, "Ghana Hournal kof Allied Health Sciences“ and the “Ghana Journal of Agriculture Sciences“.  He has also served as an external examiner in a number of local and internaional universities.

He is an ordained Minister from the Adonai International Fellowship Alliance, Inc., Sacramento California, USA.
