New NIH Grant to Train Students in TB and HIV Research

Professor Margaret Lartey (School of Medicine and Dentistry) and Professor Richard Adanu (School of Public Health) recently won a D43 grant titled “Training Program in Tuberculosis and HIV Research in Ghana”. This is a collaborative project between Brown University and University of Ghana funded by the NIH- Fogarty International Center. The $1.45M project will train professionals and students Tuberculosis and HIV Research.

The D43 grant program is an international training grant aimed at supporting research training programs for US and foreign professionals and students to strengthen global health research and international research collaboration. Prof. Margaret Lartey is the Project Director and Prof. Richard Adanu is the CO-Project Director on the University of Ghana side.
