Our Mission & Vision
The Health Professions Education Unit (HPEU) is dedicated to advancing the science and practice of education in the health professions. We serve as a central hub for educational innovation, faculty development, and research in health professions education.
Our vision is to be a nationally recognized leader in transforming health professions education through collaborative scholarship, innovative teaching methods, and the promotion of educational excellence.
We work closely with medical schools, nursing programs, pharmacy colleges, and other health professions institutions to enhance teaching effectiveness and improve learning outcomes.

Support for conducting, publishing, and disseminating research in health professions education, including grant writing and methodology consultation.

Guidance on implementing educational technologies, simulation-based learning, and digital tools to enhance health professions education.
Interprofessional Education
Development and facilitation of interprofessional learning experiences that prepare healthcare teams for collaborative practice.
