The Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Prof. Alfred Edwin Yawson, paid a working visit to the School of Nursing and Midwifery as part of efforts to strengthen engagement with the leadership of the School and monitor the progress of key infrastructural developments.
The visit provided an opportunity for the Provost to interact with both the outgoing and incoming Deans of the School. He expressed his appreciation to Prof. Florence Naab, outgoing Dean for her dedicated service, commitment, and invaluable contributions to the growth and advancement of the School. He also warmly welcomed Prof. Lillian Ohene, incoming Dean and assured her of the College's continued support in advancing the School's vision and strategic priorities.
As part of the visit, the Provost toured the construction site of the School's landmark infrastructure project to assess the progress of work. He commended the strides made thus far and expressed optimism about the timely completion of the project, which is expected to significantly enhance teaching, learning, research, and student experiences within the School.
He noted that the landmark project reflects the College's unwavering dedication to strengthening health sciences education and training to meet the evolving needs of society.
