The University of Ghana College of Health Sciences, Korle Bu, successfully participated in a two-day training programme on the Ghana Electronic Procurement System (GHANEPS), held from 28th to 29th May 2026.
GHANEPS is a web-based electronic procurement platform developed in accordance with Ghana’s Public Procurement laws to promote transparency, efficiency, accountability, and security in the procurement of Goods, Works, Consultancy Services, Non-Consultancy Services, and the Disposal of Assets.
The training programme forms part of the Government of Ghana’s ongoing efforts, through the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), to strengthen the capacity of Procuring Entities and enhance the effective implementation of electronic public procurement across the country.

The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Andy Abrokwah of the Public Procurement Authority, who guided participants through key operational areas of the platform, including user registration, tender preparation and submission, online tender evaluation, contract award processes, catalogue management, framework agreements, electronic auctions, and payment procedures.
Participants comprised Procurement Professionals, Accounting Staff, Information Technology Officers, and Administrative Staff of the College.
The training provided participants with valuable practical knowledge and hands-on experience in the use of the GHANEPS platform. It also reinforced the College’s commitment to promoting transparency, efficiency, accountability, and compliance with public procurement regulations in the discharge of its procurement responsibilities.
