Ghana Reinsurance Company Limited Donates to the College of Health Sciences Postgraduate Fund

The Ghana Reinsurance Company Limited has donated an amount of GH¢ 25, 000.00 (Twenty-Five Thousand Ghana Cedis) to the College of Health Sciences Postgraduate Endowment Fund.

Speaking at a short ceremony to present cheque to the beneficiary institutions, Mrs. Jessica Allotey, Head of Corporate Affairs and Secretary to the Board of the Company, explained that the purpose of the annual donation to the selected institutions was to offer corporate support to institutions that were playing critical roles in the areas of health and education.

 
 
 

The Managing Director of the Company, Mr. George Y. Mensah, disclosed that in 2017 the company had added two institutions; the Osu Children’s Home and the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA). The other institutions the Company donated to were the School of Medical Sciences, KNUST; the Departments of Child Health, Urology and Accident Centre of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital; the Ghana Heart Foundation; the Ghana National Trust Fund; and the University of Ghana Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO). Each institution received a cheque for Gh¢ 25,000

The Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Rev. Professor Patrick Ayeh-Kumi, expressed appreciation to the Company for its continuous support and pledged the College’s willingness to use the money for the purpose for which it was provided. He also assured the Company of its readiness to offer in return a health screening exercise to the staff of the Company.
